QuickJunk2Go is operated by PopichCo Ventures Inc. (“QuickJunk2Go,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We respect your privacy and are committed to handling personal information responsibly.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, protect, and retain personal information when you visit quickjunk2go.com, create an account, request or book a pickup, apply or work as an independent contractor, contact us, or otherwise use our services.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use QuickJunk2Go, we may collect:

  • Contact and account information: name, email address, phone number, password and account details.
  • Booking and pickup information: pickup address, service area, date and time window, item descriptions, quantities, access details, destination preferences, and customer messages.
  • Photos and job evidence: photos you upload during booking, and arrival, item, completion, or discrepancy photos uploaded by an assigned contractor.
  • Payment information: payment status, transaction details, refunds, and related billing records. Card-payment information is processed by Stripe; QuickJunk2Go does not store complete payment-card numbers.
  • Contractor information: contact information, business name, service area, vehicle details, insurance and business-licence information, onboarding records, payout information, and job-performance records.
  • Website and device information: IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and similar usage information collected through cookies and Google Analytics.
  • Communications: emails, support messages, reviews, and other information you choose to provide.

2. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • create and manage customer and contractor accounts;
  • provide pricing, process bookings and payments, and arrange pickups;
  • match, dispatch, and support approved independent contractors;
  • communicate about bookings, scheduling, payments, cancellations, refunds, service issues, and customer support;
  • review photos and reports to confirm job details, safety, quality, disputes, and contractor payouts;
  • verify contractor eligibility, insurance, licensing, and onboarding requirements;
  • improve our website, services, pricing tools, and customer experience;
  • send promotional emails or text messages where you have consented or where permitted by law;
  • prevent fraud, misuse, safety issues, and other unlawful activity; and
  • meet legal, tax, accounting, insurance, and regulatory requirements.

3. When We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

We may share personal information only as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including with:

  • Assigned independent contractors. Once a contractor is assigned to a booking, we share the information reasonably needed to perform the pickup, such as the customer’s name, pickup address, contact details, item details, photos, access information, and scheduled pickup window.
  • Service providers. Companies that help us operate our services, including Stripe for payments, website hosting, email and communications providers, analytics providers such as Google Analytics, and technology or support providers.
  • Professional advisers and insurers. Where reasonably necessary for accounting, legal, insurance, or dispute-related purposes.
  • Authorities or other parties when required. We may disclose information where required by law, court order, lawful request, or where reasonably necessary to protect people, property, or our legal rights.
  • A business transaction. If QuickJunk2Go is involved in a merger, financing, sale, reorganization, or transfer of assets, personal information may be shared as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

Some service providers may process or store information outside Alberta or Canada. When we use service providers, we take reasonable steps to require safeguards appropriate to the information and the service provided.

4. Cookies and Google Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to make our website work, remember preferences, protect the website, and understand how visitors use it.

We use Google Analytics to collect aggregated website-usage information, such as pages visited, approximate location derived from IP address, device type, browser type, and referral source. This helps us measure website performance and improve our services.

5. Marketing Communications

You can opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the email. You can opt out of marketing text messages by following the instructions in the message. Opting out of marketing does not stop essential service communications, including booking confirmations, pickup updates, payment notices, account security messages, and responses to your requests.

6. Photos, Job Records, and Contractor Access

Photos and job records are important to the safe operation of our pickup service. They may be used to prepare for a pickup, confirm the items and access conditions, document arrival and completion, assess a reported discrepancy, handle a dispute, and administer contractor payouts or refunds.

Contractors are independent businesses. Contractors are required to use customer information only to perform the assigned pickup and comply with applicable laws and their obligations to QuickJunk2Go. They must not use customer information for unrelated marketing or other unauthorized purposes.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing services, resolving disputes, maintaining business and financial records, enforcing our agreements, and meeting legal obligations.

If a customer or contractor account remains inactive for 365 days after its last use, we delete the account and its associated personal information, unless we need to retain specific information for a booking, payment, refund, dispute, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, insurance, or legal purpose.

When information is no longer reasonably required, we will delete, anonymize, or securely destroy it, subject to legal and operational requirements.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, loss, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Please protect your account password and do not share it with others. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:

  • tell you whether we hold personal information about you;
  • provide access to your personal information;
